Fear Factor is more important than the President

As I announced earlier this afternoon, all four major networks chose to air their regularly scheduled programming tonight instead of President Bush's prime time address on Iraq. Just out of curiosity, I decided to see exactly what was so pressing on the networks that it could not be preempted. Here's what I found: CBS was airing piped-in laughter sitcoms, ABC was airing A Beautiful Mind, FOX was airing the Swan Pageant, and NBC was airing Fear Factor. Wow! With a time sensitive line-up like that, I guess it's no wonder that the networks couldn't make room for the leader of the free world.
