Graduation Day

Today, Wild Banshee received her Juris Doctorate from Washington and Lee School of Law. Bagpipes played "Oh Shendoah" as the graduates processed with their walking sticks across the colonade. The ceremony was held outdoors on the steps of Lee Chapel, about 20 feet from where Traveler and General Lee are buried.



Like all graduations, there was the one guy who insisted on wearing flip flops and having his hairy legs sticking out from under his doctoral regalia. And, of course, there was that one girl who insisted on pinning her hat in some sort of vertical position on the back of her head so as to not mess up her precisely quaffed bangs.

Overall, it was a nice ceremony. I think the General would have been pleased.
